Choosing Fuel, Ignition, and Finish
Natural gas connects to a dedicated line for always-on, refill-free performance, ideal for a fixed patio location where a line is already run or easily added. Liquid propane frees you from a gas line entirely, the flexible choice for decks, rooftops, and spaces where running a line isn't practical.
Five ignitions are offered, and the choice moves the price more than the finish does. Match Lit is the simplest and the cheapest, you turn the key valve and light it with a long lighter. The four above it add either a flame sensor that shuts the gas off if the flame blows out, a push-button spark, or a switch and remote. Our steer, if guests light it, pay for a flame-sensing system; if it's your own patio, Match Lit is reliable and saves real money.

Use a breathable cover only, plastic or non-breathable covers can stick to the finish and trap moisture. Expect subtle variations in color and texture due to the handmade nature of GFRC. Your fire pit is built for your order, your size, your finish, your fuel type, so it isn't pulled off a shelf. Production runs about 3 to 4 weeks, then it goes out on a freight truck. Figure four to six weeks from your order to your patio.
Shipping is free, the price you see is the price you pay. No freight bill afterward, no surprise at checkout.
When it's built, the freight carrier calls you to set a delivery window. Someone needs to be home to meet the truck and sign for it. Look the crate over before you sign, freight damage is rare, but it can only be put right if it's noted on the paperwork at the time.
Professional installation. As a gas fire feature, the Del Mar should follow all clearances and local codes for your selected fuel type, and professional installation is recommended. If you don't have a preferred installer, contact us and we can point you toward qualified professional installation for your setup.
