Description

The Owner's Insights on the Anvil Collapsible Fire Pit

This is the bigger, Corten-steel sibling to the Farrier, and the extra width is what people notice first, it's genuinely wide enough to cook for a family, not just gather around. It's 3/16-inch thick, 7-gauge A606-4 Corten steel, the same grade that resists corrosion and ages into a real patina rather than rusting through. It slides together tool-free and collapses to under an inch, same as the Farrier. One honest note: this is an open fire pit, not smokeless like the Forge line, though the 24 air slots and optional Secondary Combustion attachments cut down smoke more than a solid-wall pit would. It comes in Carbon or Graphite, so pick based on how you want it to look day one versus how it'll patina.

Why You'll Love the Anvil Collapsible Fire Pit

  • Real 7-gauge Corten steel. 3/16" thick A606-4 Corten, built to patina rather than rust through.
  • Wide enough to cook for a family. 31 in interior width, more room than the Farrier.
  • 24 air intake slots. 12 per end, 6 per side, for a cleaner burn than a solid-wall pit.
  • Collapses to under 1 inch. Tool-free, 4-piece slide-together assembly.
  • Two finishes. Carbon or Graphite to match your outdoor space.
  • Comes with a 4-pack of Fatwood firestarters so your first fire is ready to go.

Why You Should Consider Yard Craft

Yard Craft builds its Urban Fire line in the US from real gauge Corten and carbon steel rather than thin imported sheet metal, which is why a collapsible design like this one holds its shape through repeated setup and breakdown. That same US manufacturing is behind the fast 1 to 2 week lead time and free delivery you get on the rest of the Yard Craft line.

FAQ's

CAN YOU PUT A FIRE PIT ON A WOOD DECK OR GRASS?

Because of the heat generated underneath the firepit and the possibility of fallen embers, it is not safe to place a fire pit directly on a wood deck. Grass is not ideal for a fire pit, as it is likely to burn and kill your grass. It’s best to set a portable fire pit atop a fire-resistant surface such as a fireproof mat, pavers, or bricks.

HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY FIRE PIT? WILL THE PAINT LAST?

The paint on the interior of your fire pit may burn off within your first few burns. The paint on the exterior of your fire pit may bubble or chip with time as it wears against the elements. You can maintain your fire pit by lightly sanding any spots showing rust or missing paint. You can then use any color high-temp spray paint to touch up your fire pit to keep it looking great!
