Choosing a Mailbox

The mounting plate takes a standard mailbox, so the one you already have may work. If you want a matched look, Yard Craft makes two aluminum mailboxes in bronze: the Whitehall and the larger Balmoral, which appear with this post in some photos above. They're sold separately. Ask us about adding one to your order.

Installation: What Arrives and What You Need

In the box: the Madison post, screws, the mailbox mounting plate and a touch-up kit. You supply a 7 ft pressure-treated 4x4, concrete, a cordless drill or screw gun, a 3/16 in drill bit, a measuring tape, a level, a shovel and a wheelbarrow to mix the concrete. Call 811 before you dig so underground lines get marked. Set the 4x4 plumb in concrete and let it cure, mount the post on it with the included screws, then attach your mailbox. Check USPS and local rules for mailbox height and distance from the road before you dig.

Delivery and Lead Time

Yard Craft quotes about 1 to 2 weeks from order to delivery. That's an average, not a promise, so call or text us for today's number. Delivery is included to the lower 48 states. Inspect the post and the touch-up packet with the driver before they leave. If anything is damaged, you can refuse it on the spot.

Warranty, Returns and the Fine Print

Yard Craft gives the Madison post a 1-year limited warranty covering its craftsmanship. Normal wear and tear, fading of exterior surfaces and general aging from the weather aren't covered. Returns for a valid reason are accepted within 30 days of delivery, but they must be approved first. You pay the return freight, and restocking fees may apply. Cancellations are refunded within 10 business days of ordering, unless work on your order has already started.
