The pole runs straight down through the table or the deck mount, so Essential pairs with a weighted base, a table with an umbrella hole, or an in-ground mount, sold separately.

The honest caveat: this is Ledge Lounger's entry tier, built around fiberglass instead of aluminum ribs, and like the Premier line the pole runs through the table or a base, sold separately, so if you want full rotation and tilt, that's the Ultra Cantilever line, not this one.
