The frame sits on four base plates, so plan to anchor it to a solid, level surface such as a concrete slab. Check your local permit rules for fixed outdoor structures and electrical work.

Caring for Your Pergola

Rinse the frame and louvers with water and wipe with mild soap as needed. Clear leaves from the louvers and drainage channels so water drains freely. In heavy snow, clear the roof before it reaches the 40 lb per square foot rating, and close the louvers before high winds.
