Winter is when it earns

Most outdoor upgrades pay you back between May and September. These two do their best work in December and January, which is exactly when calendars go quiet and nightly rates soften.

The cold half needs nothing

The ice bath has no pump, no heater and no chemicals. Level ground and a hose. It can be moved later if you change your mind about where it lives, which is not true of much else at this price.

What the sauna needs

A level, load-bearing pad and a dedicated circuit for the Harvia heater, installed by an electrician. Budget for that alongside the sauna itself. A barrel needs less site preparation than any other sauna shape.
