Description
Group-friendly amenities are what separate a listing that fills a calendar from one that competes on price alone. The Arnica 6 Person is built for exactly that scale — a wellness feature that can genuinely accommodate a full group booking, not one that technically fits six people if nobody moves.
Crafted from aromatic rustic cedar with approximately 1.2-inch thick walls, the Arnica 6 Person delivers efficient heat retention and durability built for outdoor use year-round. Its square format uses every inch of the larger footprint — no curved walls stealing usable floor space the way a barrel design does at this scale. Six guests can sit, stretch, and move without feeling packed in.
What sets this size apart is how it scales the Arnica's signature features rather than simply stretching them: the 84-inch dual benches adjust flat or angled for the whole group, and the tempered glass windows bring natural light and outward views into a genuinely spacious interior. It reads less like a private wellness nook and more like a shared destination.
Built for six, the Arnica ships with a full accessories package, weather-resistant shingles, and a UL-certified 6 kW Harvia KIP heater made in Finland — sized correctly for the larger interior volume. Everything needed to run a first session the day it arrives is included.
A Cedar Square Sauna Built for Space, Light, and Guest Comfort
The Arnica 6 Person is engineered from the ground up for outdoor group use — not a smaller unit stretched to fit more people. Every material choice, from the cedar construction to the stainless steel hardware and heater, is selected to perform at this larger scale across seasons and climates.
Why the Square Format Maximizes Usable Interior Space at Group Scale
A barrel sauna's curved walls slope away from occupants on both sides — a real limitation once you're seating six adults rather than two or three. The Arnica's square geometry keeps the full footprint usable from corner to corner, which matters most exactly when capacity is the priority.
The 84-inch interior gives six adults genuine room to sit, stretch, and shift position — not a forced configuration where the sixth guest is an afterthought. The 158–194°F range delivers a full, authentic session across the entire width of a properly proportioned interior, so temperature doesn't taper off toward the edges the way it can in an undersized unit.
The 6 kW Harvia KIP heater is sized specifically for this larger interior volume — not the same heater pushed to cover more space. Guests get consistent heat throughout the session, and the adjustable dial with auto 60-minute shut-off means they control it without you managing the heater between rounds.
Rustic Cedar Construction: Built to Weather and Age Beautifully
Western red cedar resists moisture, warping, and decay far better than alternative outdoor building materials, which is why it's the standard for saunas meant to live outside year-round regardless of size. The approximately 1.2-inch stave walls on the Arnica 6 Person provide the same thermal insulation as the smaller size — heat retention scales with the heater, not against it.
The tempered glass door adds a design-forward entry point that photographs well while keeping the interior private. Weather-resistant shingles are included for the roof, so the larger unit is fully weatherproofed from installation day — no seasonal covering or storage required.
Adjustable Benches and Windows: The Details That Earn Five Stars
At six-person capacity, the small details matter even more — with more guests using the space, the features that make each person comfortable get noticed and mentioned more often.
Dual Benches That Adjust to How Your Guests Actually Relax
The 84-inch dual benches lay flat or recline at an angle, giving each guest in a larger group the ability to set up their own position rather than sharing one fixed configuration. For a group booking or wellness retreat, that flexibility means fewer compromises and fewer guests waiting their turn for a preferred spot.
It's a detail that reads as thoughtful rather than generic — the kind of feature that shows up specifically in a review from a group that appreciated not having to negotiate seating.
Windows That Bring the Outside In
The tempered glass windows fill the larger interior with natural light and outward views, which keeps a six-person sauna from feeling enclosed even at full capacity. It's an especially important detail at this size — a fully outfitted group sauna with no natural light can feel more like a box than a destination.
For STR hosts, that openness photographs well from both inside and outside the unit, giving you listing images that show off the group capacity without the interior looking cramped or dim.
Why STR Hosts Are Adding Group-Capacity Saunas to Their Listings
Group bookings and wellness retreats increasingly search specifically for properties that can host the whole party at once — a two-to-four-person sauna doesn't solve that need. The Arnica 6 Person is built for hosts targeting that segment directly.
The Amenity That Commands Higher Nightly Rates for Larger Parties
Sauna is now a mainstream booking-platform search filter, and group-size properties searching for that amenity are looking specifically for capacity that matches their party. Adding the Arnica 6 Person doesn't just add an amenity — it positions your listing for the larger-party, longer-stay bookings that a two-to-four person unit can't serve.
Wellness retreats, corporate offsites, and multi-family group trips all skew toward properties with genuine group-capacity amenities. The complete accessories package — included at no additional cost — means your listing photos show a fully equipped, group-ready wellness installation from day one.
What the 6 kW Harvia KIP Heater Means for Guest Experience
Harvia is Finland's most recognized sauna heater brand, and the KIP model at 6 kW is sized specifically for this larger interior. It's UL-certified, reaches operating temperature reliably even across the bigger footprint, and accepts 35 lbs of sauna stones for authentic löyly. The adjustable dial and auto 60-minute shut-off mean groups get full control without host intervention.
For hosts, a correctly-sized heater at this capacity means consistent performance for every guest in the group — not a heater working overtime to cover more square footage than it was built for.
Who This Is For / Who It's Not
This outdoor sauna is the right fit if you:
✔ Host group bookings, wellness retreats, or larger parties that need genuine six-person capacity
✔ Want maximum interior floor space — the square format uses every inch versus a barrel's curved walls
✔ Want natural light and outside views inside the sauna — the tempered glass windows deliver both
✔ Want dual benches that adjust for each guest rather than one fixed seating configuration
✔ Want an amenity that photographs beautifully and supports a premium nightly rate for larger properties
This may not be the right fit if you:
✖ Host smaller groups or couples — see the Arnica 4 Person for a right-sized footprint
✖ Are looking for a plug-in 120V unit — the Harvia KIP heater requires 220–240V professional electrical wiring
✖ Need a covered exterior cooling/seating area attached to the sauna — see the Liatris Barrel Sauna for a front porch canopy option
✖ Are managing a property in a jurisdiction with strict electrical permit requirements and no budget for licensed installation
What Owning This Looks Like
Picture a full group of six settling into the Arnica after a long day — benches reclined, windows framing the evening light, sauna stones hissing with the first ladle of water. Nobody's waiting their turn or squeezed into a corner seat. They stay longer than planned, and they mention the capacity by name in their review.
A fully equipped group sauna session for up to six guests — no supplemental gear required. A wellness ritual that becomes the shared centerpiece of a group trip or retreat stay. A listing differentiator that positions your property for larger-party, higher-value bookings a smaller unit can't serve. A long-term outdoor installation that appreciates in listing value as group-travel sauna demand continues to grow.
The Arnica 6 Person isn't a scaled-up amenity — it's the right-sized version of a premium group experience, built for the party you're actually hosting.

Shipping & Installation
The Arnica Cedar Square Sauna 6 Person ships free to all contiguous US addresses — no PO Boxes. Orders are processed within 12–24 hours Monday through Friday. Due to the weight and dimensions of this unit, shipment is via LTL freight and typically arrives within 7–20 business days. Rural shipping surcharges may apply and will be calculated at checkout.
Inspect your delivery carefully before signing off with the freight carrier. Document any damage to packaging or product before accepting — freight damage claims require documentation at time of delivery.
Assembly is DIY with the included setup guide and typically requires multiple people given the unit's weight and component size. The Harvia KIP heater requires a dedicated 220–240V electrical circuit — professional wiring by a licensed electrician is required before first use. We strongly recommend coordinating electrical installation prior to or immediately following delivery.
